Assistant Registrar – London
On behalf of a Flag Administration, we are looking an experienced Assistant Registrar to join their dynamic team in London.
This role offers a fantastic blend of office and remote work, with the potential for career advancement to Registrar upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Location: London (Hybrid – 1 day office/4 days remote)
Key Requirements:-
- Right to work and live in the UK
- Residence in London or within commuting distance
- Excellent computer literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth understanding of merchant shipping laws and registry standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of the shipping industry and maritime legislation
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure
- Practical shipping experience and maritime administration background (advantageous)
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate and efficient ship registration processes
- Administer registry functions, including ownership and title verification
- Coordinate with internal departments, Regional Registrars, and external stakeholder
- Handle diverse registration matters (e.g., initial registrations, transfers, mortgages
- Contribute to international promotion of the Registry
- Assist in developing Registry website content
- Provide training to clients and interested parties as needed
