We are currently partnered with a growing shipowner predominantly focused on the bulk market but with an LPG Carrier in their fleet. Our client is currently looking for a Charterer to add to their team in Hamburg that will take responsibility for the LPG asset with potential further acquisitions on the gas side planned but the expectation is this hire will also take on bulk chartering responsibility as well as the fleet is predominantly bulk vessels.
 
This would be a great opportunity for a Charterer either from the dry or wet market that would like to work in a position with a broad scope and have exposure to different markets. With the planned growth in the LPG fleet this would be an exciting role for someone with 3-5 years chartering experience to make this business area their own from a commercial standpoint.
 
The likelihood is this person will come from the gas or tanker market as the primary focus is in this area but as the secondary area would be covering dry chartering responsibilities they can also consider someone that comes from a dry chartering background.
 
The ideal candidate will have circa 3-5 years’ experience as a Charterer but Brokers will also potentially be considered. They would be looking for someone that demonstrates ambition and is commercially very astute and able to follow the market closely. The role would be based in Hamburg office 5 days per week where they have a lean commercial team.
