We are currently working with an internationally recognised tanker group who are on the hunt for a new Global Director, Chartering to head their global team of Freight Traders. 
 
This hire will provide leadership to their global team of Freight Traders executing the company’s spot trading activities in order to maximise earnings of the fleet. In this role you will be responsible for driving profitability globally, identifying areas for market development, promoting safety and environmental protection as a value throughout the team.
 
Leadership is at the forefront of this particular hire so this would be best suited to someone that is a strong people person and is able to able to support the team in their development as well as maintaining strong working relations across other areas of the business i.e. operations, bunkering, research etc…
 
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have deep chartering expertise in the tanker market and have demonstrable leadership experience in a senior role. The ability to make critical decisions under pressure will be essential as well as being able to think strategically about from a planning perspective.
 
Ideally this role will be based out of their office in London but for the right candidate they may also be able to accommodate this hire out of the US or Singapore.
