We are looking for an Analyst for our ship owning client in Germany.
You will be providing vital assistance to the company decision makers by providing analysis and reports in relation to Operations, Technical and Financial aspects.
With a love for numbers, you will be able to process large amounts of data and make sense of its meaning for critical business decisions.
As part of large analysis team, you will be given the opportunity to make the role your own, contributing on a wide variety of projects with various internal stakeholders.
A background in shipping is not essential, but will be highly advantages
You will have a degree related to business administration or financial analysis.
Experience in analysis large amounts of data for commercial purposes will feature in your background.
Candidate will be required to speak both English and German.
Existing entitlement to live and work in German is also required.
We have partnered with an ocean shipping and transportation company based in Montreal to find their next Finance Manager.
Reporting to the CFO, this international organise seek an individual to oversee and direct the shipping accounting functions; accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury and credit department across Canada.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing, the implementation and monitoring of AP, AR, general ledger and credit. You will have overall supervision and accountability of the FI department; ensuring cost is controlled and revenue is collected.
You will manage day-to-day employee relations in the department as well as liase with external auditors and global head office.
You will also be a “SAP Key User” for training and system optimisation within the department.
In Summary you will have:
• Experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Understanding of, or experience in a shipping or logistics company.
• Experience in supervising or managing a team.
• SAP Experience

We are working with a Greek Ship Owner seeking an Assistant Accountant in Athens.
Reporting to the CFO, working in a total team of three, you will be responsible day-to-day accounting responsibilities which will include tasks such as:
• General bookkeeping, payments, and closings.
• Reconciliation of accounts payable and receivables.
• Management reports for running costs and expenses.
• Accounts analysis and preparation of cash, cash flow, budget, and forecast reports.
In summary you will have:
• Expereince in an Accounting position of at least two years.
• Experience or educational background in maritime or shipping.
