On behalf of our client, a prestigious maritime authority, we are looking for an exceptional individual to fill the role of Regional Director for the Americas & The Caribbean region.

You will be responsible for overseeing client engagement and relationships throughout the Americas and Caribbean region. This pivotal role involves managing operations, providing technical expertise, and representing the authority at high levels of government and industry.

You will oversee North America and Caribbean operations, provide technical assistance in the region, and engage with member states, NGOs, and ship owners on matters of mutual interest. You will lead client and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on the cruise industry, identify new client opportunities, and represent the Authority at government level and in regional seminars/conferences.
  
The role also involves preparing presentations and reports, driving business development, and liaising with internal departments and other entities within the Maritime Administration.

In terms of qualifications and experience you will need to have a Degree-level or equivalent, with one of the following:
  
STCW II/2 (Master Mariner) or STCW III/2 (Chief Engineer),
Degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent
Senior Naval Officer (rank of Captain or above)
Minimum 10 years of experience in the maritime sector, with at least 7 years in a senior managerial position
  
You will need to possess excellent networking skills with proven industry connections, strong business analytical skills, and a track record of providing actionable insights. You should have an in-depth understanding of international/regional regulatory legislation, comprehensive knowledge of vessel operations and flag state duties, and highly developed written and oral presentation skills. Strong critical thinking, communication, management, and team-working abilities are essential, as is the capacity to work independently and as part of a global team.

Our client is a leading shipping company looking for an experienced Learning and Development Manager to join their team in London. Reporting into a Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a senior Learning and Development role for all shore-based staff. 
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the training and development strategy across the group.
  • Build the in-house L&D capability.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to identify skills gaps and design tailored training solutions.
  • Oversee the group’s leadership and management development programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and promote a culture of continuous learning.

 The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven learning and development expertise with at least 8 years’ experience.

We are looking for a Vessel Performance Analyst to join a shipping company based in Singapore.

You will support the operations team by overseeing and evaluating performance metrics for owned and time-chartered vessels. You will pinpoint underperforming vessels, identify inconsistent data, act as an expert user of optimization platforms, guide the team on emissions, detect system inefficiencies, ensure data accessibility, validate savings and model accuracy, and provide speed and consumption details.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in vessel operations or served as a 2nd Officer or 3rd Engineer.
  • Essential IT competencies include:
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • A strong inclination towards vessel performance/data analytics.

Technical Compliance Officer – London

We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Technical Compliance Officer for a Ship Registry based in London. 

The nature of the role is to ensure compliance with international Code and convention requirements for registered ships. Along with providing advice to ship owners, managers and classification societies and other parties on International Legislation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to ship owners, managers, classification societies and other stakeholders on maritime legislation and statutory requirements of The Bahamas and international conventions.
  • Oversee and manage The Company’s annual inspection regime and follow up on any required actions.
  • Oversee port state detentions and take necessary follow up measures.
  • Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and issue relevant certifications.
  • Deliver technical presentations as needed.
  • Conduct technical reviews of vessels proposed for registration and provide recommendations.
  • Represent The Company at International Maritime Organization (IMO) meetings and other bodies as required. Actively participate in working and correspondent groups.
  • Attend and lead marketing activities and stakeholder meetings in support of business development as required.
  • Develop and revise technical guidance documents and policies.
  • Serve as Emergency Response Officer and Port State Control Officer on a rotational basis.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Director/Head of Department.

Requirements:

  • Senior level seagoing experience as Master/Chief Engineer or survey experience with a classification society or flag state preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of maritime regulations and conventions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and represent the organization.
