Cost Controller – Qatar

You will take the lead in ensuring effective cost control and reporting processes within the Fleet Technical department, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and cost management.
Your role will focus on maintaining budget adherence, providing insightful financial analysis, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
Responsibilities include preparing and managing budgets, conducting cost analysis, and ensuring that expenditures stay within approved limits. You will monitor cost overruns and provide recommendations to management for corrective actions, while collaborating with technical teams to align financial strategies with operational goals.
In your position, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and contribute to the development of financial systems and processes that support cost management objectives.
We are seeking to speak with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field with 5+ years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Experience in the maritime or shipping industry or a similar cost control role in a reputable organization.
- Expertise in budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
