Work within a global shipping company with a strong reputation in the maritime industry, Assistant General Manager (AGM) for Marine Procurement and Contracts to oversee procurement, contracts, and warehouse operations.
You’ll oversee procurement for vessel stores, equipment, spares, and provisions, ensuring alignment with global strategies while driving initiatives in Singapore and China.
You’ll manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
Leading a large team across procurement and warehouse operations, you’ll ensure safe and efficient handling of inventory and deliveries. Collaboration with technical teams and other divisions will be key to maintaining quality and operational standards.
Additionally, you’ll manage budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and uphold safety and compliance across all activities.
What You’ll Need
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Marine Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement and contracts within the marine industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of marine operations, including vessel spares, provisions, and stores.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing large teams.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations and safety standards.
