Business Systems Lead – London

You’ll help manage and improve key systems, processes, and data within a global shipping business. You’ll play a hands-on role in system administration, process mapping, and ensuring data quality, working directly with teams to drive better results through practical solutions for commercial shipping operations.
What You’ll Do
System Management
- Take charge of the systems used in your area. You’ll handle configurations, workflows, and updates to improve how they work.
- Train your colleagues on how to use these systems effectively.
- Work with internal teams and software providers to implement changes or new tools.
- Review system upgrades and decide how they could benefit the business.
Process Improvement
- Assess current processes and find ways to make them more efficient.
- Create and monitor metrics that show how well processes are working.
- Make sure processes in your area align with others across the organisation.
Data Oversight
- Manage the quality of data in your area and fix any issues.
- Work with others to ensure data meets business needs and complies with retention policies.
- Lead data cleansing and migration activities during system changes.
What You’ll Need
- Commercial maritime operations knowledge.
- Experience managing systems, including setting up workflows and troubleshooting issues.
- Knowledge of process mapping and how data is used across workflows.
- A strong focus on data quality and the ability to resolve data-related problems.
- Good communication skills to explain systems and processes clearly.
- Relevant certifications in business systems, process improvement, or data management are useful but not essential.
