Fleet General Manager – Singapore

Lead the management of a large fleet of container vessels, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with international maritime standards.
Based in Singapore, this role involves overseeing vessel maintenance, new builds, digital transformation, and decarbonisation initiatives and managing a team of department heads.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the vessel management of a large fleet, ensuring high performance, sea-worthiness, and compliance with maritime regulations.
- Manage preventive maintenance, dry-docking, and new builds while aligning with technical specifications and company policies.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives and drive energy efficiency across fleet operations.
- Develop strategies for fleet procurement and manpower planning, including crew training and knowledge updates.
- Manage budgets, monitor fleet conditions through inspections, and liaise with engineers on vessel maintenance issues.
- Ensure the effective implementation of HSE policies, maintenance procedures, and dry-docking operations.
- Influence the development of IMO regulations and safeguard the company’s interests in the maritime community.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or a related field.
- Seafaring Chief Engineer (COC1) with related experience, including 5 years in ship management or a similar role.
- Experience with dual fuel (DF) propulsion systems, LNG/methanol-fueled ships, and new build vessel delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of dry-docking, regulatory requirements (class, flag, ISM/ISPS/CSO), and industry standards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a proactive approach to team development.
