We are currently partnered with a prestigious and growing shipowner headquartered in Hong Kong that is in the process of recruiting a new Operations Manager to join their commercial team. This would be a great opportunity for someone that has sailed as Chief Officer or Master Mariner onboard bulk carriers to join an established player in the bulk market.
 
In this role the primary objective will be to handle the post fixture operations for a fleet of bulk carriers working in close coordination with the VP Commercial and overseeing an Operations Executive. You will be tasked with issuing voyage instructions, appointing agents, coordinating bunker management, reviewing CP clauses.
 
Additional tasks will include exposure to aspects of claims handling, risk management, insurance matters and risk management.
 
It will be essential that you have a seagoing background and the ideal would be that you have sailed in command on bulk carriers as well as having spent circa 2-3 years in a shorebased commercial operations role since coming ashore.
 
Our client is open to both candidates that are currently based in Hong Kong as well as those that would like to relocate for the opportunity.
