Senior Manager (Liner Operation) – Oman

Our client, is multi-faceted shipping conglomerate based out of Oman with one of it’s businesses being a Liner service run between the Arabian Peninsula and India. They are currently in the process of recruiting a Senior Manager for their Liner Operations to be based in their HQ and head up the operations team.
The suitable candidate will hold extensive experience within a similar position amongst the container shipping industry gained with a prominent shipping line and will require a high-level knowledge of terminal and vessel operations. The fundamental aim of this role would be to ensure the utilisation of safe and efficiently stowed vessels and with have accountability for the operational performance for all vessels operating in the line. Within the Operations department this hire will have 8 direct reports.
Additional responsibilities will include:

• Bunker Consumption
• Equipment Management
• Agency and terminal agreements
• Stowage Planning
• Cargo Operations
• Performance Reporting

Requirements

• Currently working in a leadership role within Liner Operations
• Seagoing experience on container vessels would be highly advantageous
• 10 years+ experience gained within container shipping within vessel planning/ stowage/ management
• High level of terminal and vessel operations
