We are currently working with a dry bulk logistics company who are looking to hire a Head of Commercial and Operations in their office in Indonesia.
 
In this role you will assist the Company in achieving business growth and performance goals through building and maintaining client relationships, conducting performance reviews to ensure client satisfaction and exploring future revenue growth opportunities. 
 
You will lead the Indonesia Commercial and Operations teams to set and execute strategic plans for transhipment and barging in Indonesia based on supply and demand analysis – ultimately generating profitable growth. Apply a thorough understanding of trading to execute short and medium-term pricing by monitoring the regional transhipment ecosystem along with short-term Gearless/Geared market.
 
Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in dry commodity segment, trading, freight and/or logistics.
  • Bachelor degree in business management or finance is preferred
  • Sales experience in large enterprises is preferred.

Key Attributes:

  • Willingness to travel primarily across Southeast Asia.
  • Work under minimal supervision and independently handle complex issues.
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused.

Admin Manager – Hamburg

We are currently working with an affiliate of an international Owner/ Operator in the drybulk market who are looking to hire an Admin Manager to join their team in Hamburg, Germany.
 
In this role, you will be overseeing and supporting the office in areas including administrative, finance, HR and IT functions of the business.

As a professional, service-oriented and energetic individual, you will run the day-to-day office operations, communicating and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders
on a variety of tasks.
 
We are looking for someone with a qualification in Business Management or similar with 2 to 3 years experience in handling general office functions. Some knowledge of travel, HR, accounting standards within a shipping company would be preferred
 
Other requirements:

  • Proficient in using Global Distribution System for air ticket and hotel bookings such as Galileo and Amadeus System and Human Resources Management System.
  • Exposure to using digital credit card platforms such as Pliant.
  • Proficient in English and German

Dry Bulk Charterer – Hamburg

We are currently partnered with a German Shipowner/Operator who are looking to hire a Dry Bulk Charterer to join their team in Hamburg.

For this role, they can consider relocation.

Requirements for this role:

  • A minimum of 3 years Chartering experience within in an Owner and/or Operator environment
  • Experience in the Capesize sector is preferred
  • Understanding of risk management and use of derivatives instruments
  • Team spirit, commitment as well as proactive and independent work
  • Driven, commercial mindset, analytical and a strong communicator
  • Excellent MS-Office skills
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Degree educated or similar

Responsibilities involved within this role:

  • Manage and monitor owned and chartered tonnage, including but not limited to time/voyage orders, vessels’ planning & scheduling
  • Evaluate short term market conditions including pricing of timecharter and voyage transactions

Junior Tanker Charterer – Singapore

We are currently working with a growing international shipowner with a large fleet of close to vessels trading internationally that is on the lookout for a new member of their chartering team to be stationed in their Singapore office.
 
This new hire will have a training period of 6 months within the London HQ before returning to Singapore and assuming responsibility for fixing vessels in the Pacific market, working in close coordination with the London Chartering team as well as the Singapore operations team.
 
This role would be ideally suited to someone that understands the fundamentals of chartering within the tanker market and is a self-starter as upon returning to Singapore you will be the only Charterer based out of the Singapore office so it will need to be someone naturally driven that can seek out market opportunities and develop relationships quite independently. Someone that knows the main details of tanker charter parties would be at a distinct advantage.
 
Candidates suitable for this position will need to have have circa 2-3 years’ chartering/ commercial experience gained within the tanker market and will be able to commit to being stationed out of our client’s London HQ for 6 months upon joining before returning to Singapore to assume the full responsibilities of the position

Freight and Laytime Officer – Singapore

We are currently working with a growing dry bulk business who are currently looking to hire Freight and Laytime Officer in their office in Singapore.
 
They are looking for someone with 2+ years’ experience laytime experience within dry bulk market who is looking for a new challenge. You also need to be in the locations currently for consideration.
 
Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparation and checking of freight invoices and monitoring incoming payments
  • Responsible for the preparation, negotiation and finalization of laytime calculations and statements of accounts
  • Liaising with our in-house operation and commercial departments on ongoing fixtures
  • Closely communicating daily with external business partners such as brokers, charterers and owners
