A VLCC owner is looking for a Technical Manager to oversee their VLCC fleet based in the Middle East.
The ideal candidate will have sailed to Chief Engineer on VLCCs extensively and have at least 5 years experience managing them in a shore based capacity.

You will be responsible for coordinating with customers for all cargo nominations and other matters of voyage management, liaise with Chartering, Technical Managers and Finance to ensure vessel clearance and acceptability for any proposed voyage.
Furthermore, you will assume delegated responsibility of Senior Voyage Manager in their absence, compile monthly lifting and load program and distribute to all relevant parties when assigned by Senior Manager and support, advise, mentor and train more junior staff.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join a busy shipping and general commercial disputes practice of a leading law firm, based in their office in the Middle East.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years post qualification experience although individuals slightly above or below that bracket will also be considered. You must be common law qualified to be considered for this position.
The majority of work will be shipping disputes work but you will also be receiving work of a general commercial litigation flavour so it is essential that this is something you are willing to do. The exact split between the two areas will be entirely dependant on workload at the time.
