You will lead the Joint Ventures department and be responsible for the efficient management and operation of all the organisation’s LNG joint ventures while safeguarding the interests of the organisation and its shareholders. The focus should be on achieving goals such as cost-effectiveness, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with shareholder’s agreements.
Experience:
• Extensive experience in a Maritime organisation, some of which will have been in a leadership role.
• Prior expertise in the LNG sector and international JV operations is required.
• Previous familiarity of developing a business in the energy sector is required.
You will also have a Degree in International Trade or Business. An MBA will be an advantage.

An international commodity company is looking to recruit an individual with legal (maritime) and compliance experience in to a new role in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ post qualification experience in the shipping department of a law firm or from a Club or shipping company. Experience in drafting, negotiating and closing contracts is essential
This position will involve providing real-time legal advice and support to the shipping business and the corporate team. Whilst the role will incorporate both contentious and non-contentious work, the focus will be on providing contentious support for the chartering and operations teams.. Our client is looking for a Project manager to lead and manage an entire conversion project modifying the Main & Auxiliary Engines to allow dual fuel burning capability in addition to the existing heavy fuel oil for the fleet.
You will be responsible for acting as the Owners focal point for the project technical and commercial/ contractual matters and engage with Charterers and project stakeholders, including the JV Partners, class and other Vendors.
Managing project timelines and milestones, whilst providing regular updates to Company Senior Management.
Key Result Areas
- Reinforce the company’s position in the industry as an exemplary model for driving safety, efficiency and flawless execution throughout our core business of shipping hydrocarbons.
- Deliver the overall DF Conversion project safely, on time for individual vessels and within budget to ensure that Company is the provider of choice for customers.
- Accurately assess the benefits of efficiency measures and act accordingly, without exposing the company and customers to high-risk investment.
- Provide informed advice and recommendations to other departments involved in the conversion project.
- Builds and maintains sound relationships with Charterers and vendors.
- Act as a key role in the Company Center of Excellence.
- Participate actively in the ESG task Force and Company Environmental Working Group.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Executive MBA in Project Management/ Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering with sound reference of major modification/conversion projects in the LNG Shipping Industry (Major Conversion/ FSRU).
Experience:
- 6-8 total years of experience required in project management.
- Minimum 5 years in senior managing position within the LNG industry.
- Minimum 5 years’ shore experience in high value Project Management related role.
- Excellent multi-tasking and communication skills both oral and written English
- Computer literacy – MS Office, MS Project and Visio
- Familiarity with HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA, Project Management Planning and processes for evaluating detailed design.
- Experience with contract drafting, tendering process and evaluation as well as commercial requirements of Project management are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Advise and execute FFA trades for hedging and short term FFA trades
- Closely monitor FFA market movements and perpare and deliver daily reports

Our client is looking for a Cargo Handling Supervisor to join their company based in the Middle East.
You will be Responsible for the management and supervision of cargo operations on vessels, including stevedoring and equipment management functions, relating to all aspects of cargo handling and logistics support services.
You will have comprehensive knowledge of cargo operations planning for dry cargoes and oil terminals and managing port labour. You will also have thorough knowledge of port operations contracts, port safety, accident prevention codes, regulations and marine industry governmental regulations related to ports. Experience of management and commercial use of dock areas, warehouse facilities and terminals is also required.
The candidate must possess either:
- Deck Officer Class 1 1/1 certificate of competency with at least 5 years senior officer experience in oil, gas or dry cargo vessels and 5 years of port operations experience
- University Degree with 7 years of experience within port / marine industry

Our client will have a Cape/ PMX/ Geared desk (UMX down to Coasters) and for this particular hire they are on the lookout for an experienced Freight Trader/ Charterer that is particularly strong in TC negotiations to join their Dubai team. Whilst there will be a gradual pick up of third party business for this particular hire it isn’t essential that someone has good cargo connections and tonnage procurement will be the focus.
This hire will work in close coordination with the commodity traders so being able to respond quickly to requests and provide realistic expectation in terms of what’s workable from a freight perspective will be critical.
To apply for this role you should have a minimum of 5 years’ chartering experience in the bulk market with a strong network of owners/ brokers. IMOS experience would also be advantageous. Marine Insurance broker seeks Claims Executive in Sharjah, UAE (35km from Dubai).
The role involves managing P&I, general average and H&M claims from beginning to end. A key part of the role is to keep in constant communication with your ship owners and insurers, meeting in person to build relationships and progress the claim through to completion.
The ideal candidate will have around 5 years marine claims experience at either a marine insurance broker, ship agency or P&I club plus relevant insurance qualification CII / ACA and ideally working towards ACII.
